Camera snapshot interval FTP from behind the NVR

Thanks. I had part 1 and 2 done already which allows me to connect from my LAN to the cameras residing behind the NVR subnet. However I can't do part 3 with my current POS U-Verse gateway so I'm kind of screwed at the moment. I have a nice ASUS router on order and as soon as I get it I'll DMZ...

FTP Setup: Should It Handle DSN Names ?

Actually someone in another thread said that it still doesn't work: https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/2888-FTP-configuration-error-with-Hikvision-DS-2CD2032-I

email alerts to attach image on DS-7108N-SN/P or get camera to communicate outside?

Re: email alerts to attach image on DS-7108N-SN/P or get camera to communicate outsid Did you get this to work? I'm running into the same problem but with FTP not working on the camera to communication to the outside world. I don't have a static route in my router but that should be of no issue...

FTP Setup: Should It Handle DSN Names ?

The documentation said from fw 5.2 up it should handle domain names not only IPs. fw 5.1 and below does not. I currently have my own connection problems so I can't verify this.

Camera snapshot interval FTP from behind the NVR

OK, I found the interval snapshot mode but I still can't find a way to set up the routing to get past the NVR.

Camera snapshot interval FTP from behind the NVR

Here is the setup: I have a 7616 that is connected to my router and I have several cameras connected to the NVR. I'd like the cameras to upload snapshots at 5 minute intervals to a server outside of my local network. So far I'm failing at it. What do I need to set up so the cameras can get to...

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

From the linked thread: "No you can’t upgrade to 5.3.0 this is done via another check which I’m still looking for." So I guess it's not done yet. So either there are some sellers who were savvy enough to make the change and not tell people and things seem fine (mine from Amazon upgrade to the...

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

Exactly. It's flash memory that holds the region code that the firmware matches up against. But as far as I could tell nobody has shared information as to how to modify the flash memory to change a camera's region coding outside of Hikvision themselves. As soon as someone can do it, the whole...

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

Thanks, but nope. I read that thread before I even made a purchase. That procedure describes how to modify a firmware file to match the region code set in the hardware at the factory. I was looking for a procedure to check the actual hardware code of a camera. FWIW both my cameras and my...

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

Would you mind sharing how one would verify the 'hardware descriptor block'?

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

You must not be an engineer... If identical files are released on both US and Euro sites then one can assume that it works on both. Otherwise they would cause great havoc. Could there be a firmware released that works on one but not on the other? Sure. But in this case that's not what's...

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

I did check what you asked me to and it did show up with "english". However my problem was with the second part of your advice: "If English, and you don't ever upgrade the FW, all will be fine." I want to upgrade! That is the whole point of buying a legitimate English version for twice the...

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

While the above poster very well could be a valuable contributor to this forum, he was of no help answering my question. So I did "upgrade" the firmware on my camera to the v5.3.0_150513 that was on the US support website against all advice and nothing broke, it came up just fine and works as...

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

Operative word in my comment was "latest". The version of the firmware on the camera is dated 151016 and I can chose Hungarian as a language in the dropdown list. This is obviously the EU firmware. The US firmware was released much sooner as it didn't need all the translations so it was released...

5.3.0 Euro to 5.3.0 US. Should I bother?

Exactly. And the build date and version for the US version of the 5.3.0 is different than the build date of the EU version. The latest firmware on the US site is v5.3.0_150513 The latest firmware on the EU website is v5.3.0_151016 The camera came with the 151016 build date one hence I assume it...
