AI motion detection with BlueIris: an alternate approach

Ok cool. I have it set to 2GB, but can totally reduce that.

AI motion detection with BlueIris: an alternate approach

Oh yeah, sorry I wasn't clear that's exactly how I have mine set. Only alerts send images from the SD cams to Deepstack. However I have 15 cameras or something so quite a few images make there way over to deepstack. I should do an inventory of how many images are delivered at night which is...

AI motion detection with BlueIris: an alternate approach

I see. Yes, running on Windows docker. Funny thing is the PC is way overpowered, just a i9 gaming PC that I wasn't using, so even with BI running, it doesn't ever get too taxed. I figured that I'd tell BI to also not save past a day of images in the directory, I had it set at 3 days, but...

AI motion detection with BlueIris: an alternate approach

I'm having a strange problem. After I had to reinstall docker, my setup runs for about 15-20 hours then stops processing images. The containers are running, there are no errors in the logs, but they just stop processing anything. On restart it works again. Having a real hard time diagnosing...

This thread your writing your question in doesn't utilize AITools at all.

Technically it's up to you how you do it. You could record full HD all the time and send HD images to DeepStack, but that's a bit slow (3-6 seconds on my i9 per image). I started out this way and said screw it and did a constantly recording SD stream which also sends pics to DeepStack and then...

AI motion detection with BlueIris: an alternate approach

Hmm. We had a planned power outage yesterday so I brought the BI machine down along with the docker containers. When I brought it back up I started getting errors trying to bring up the trigger container. I think I did upgrade to the latest Docker version for Windows, but that the only...

Apologies, missed it. Fixed and works great. UPDATE: Also figured out why Pushover lost messages, images too large...

AI motion detection with BlueIris: an alternate approach

Sorry I'm posting so much, but I saw my images process on my BI machine (which is a moderately new retired gaming PC with i9 CPU) at around 1 to 1.5 seconds (these are 6K images). I just saw this on DeepStack's site... https://python.deepstack.cc/using-deepstack-with-nvidia-gpus No Windows...

Thanks for this. The docs don't show you the structure as far as I could see. This will likely fix my masking issue! I take it you can only have a single rectangular area? UPDATE: Minor thing, I found "masks" failed but "mask" seemed to work and let the server start.

Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. Maybe my 30 second cool down is killing some of the messages. I also have a 30 sec cooldown on telegram too. Will experiment with smaller numbers.

Yeah I did see that in the Wiki, and like I said it seems to work, just not all the time which is weird. I'll have to debug it in more detail. Again thanks!

AI motion detection with BlueIris: an alternate approach

This is one fantastic package you've put together! After I spent the day putting together a setup with AI Tools following gentlepumkin instructions and Hook Up's video. This worked instantly. Got 14 cameras configured in the triggers file and turned it on. One minor thing is that I'm...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Doh! I have been struggling with this for the past 4 hours! Wish I found I wasn't the only one with the issue sooner. I'm doing the same thing, Deepstack informs BI via URL on motion, for the camera that it informs, I setup up Alert on Trigger, but none of the conditions, motion, exter, dio...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Thanks for building this product and tutorial. I got it all setup tonight, on between a Windows VM running BI and AITools and a Docker instance of the alternate version of DeepStack. I can reach the webserver on port 90 from the BI machine or anywhere on my network, but sending the image to the...
