    Firmware for IPC-T54IR-ZE question

I have one cam with that device info. It doesn't have that issue. Question- are your cams on a static IP address? Mine are DHCP with reserved IP address. Have you talked with Andy? BTW - Can you go back to old firmware? I don't have that firmware but maybe someone can point us to it.

    Three Dahua DH-IPC-HDW5231R-ZE Working Cameras

Never could find any comps for used cams. I don't have a clue how much they are worth. Open to offers. I still have 11 more that I am still using. Great 2MP camera! Not sure how to send to UK. I checked and it is legal to send them there but seemed expensive and a bunch of paperwork. TY M

Any sense in using the firewall built into NVR with the MAC addresses of my computers, pads and iPhones? TY M

Dahua NVR and Router question about UPnP.

You did help. I have a good candidate if I have any issues with unauthorized access come up. I ended up disabling UPnP & port forwarding from my router and using DMSS and P2P on my NVR. If any issues come up Tailscale will be the next step. TY M

Just to clarify. My cameras are dhcp assigned but are also reserved. Helps me map my ip better and identify assignment issues. Ty

Dahua NVR and Router question about UPnP.

Well up and running. One quick question. All my IP cameras are DCHP assigned. Should I make them static? Vaguely remember something about DHCP vs Static is more secure? TY

Dahua NVR and Router question about UPnP.

TY ..Frog. So I ditched the port forwarding. No ports open. I disabled UPnP. I still have DMSS with P2P enable. I can view cameras local & remote. I know that is not ideal. Will look into TailScale next. M

Dahua NVR and Router question about UPnP.

Ty for the replies. I was thinking the same thing. Trying to understand how to remotely view my cameras. Some how I ended up with a hack reserved admin account on a camera. Took all port fwding off and cleaning up router settings. Great forum and members. Ty
