Unable to locate model name, to find appropriate firmware update

Good to know @wittaj Thanks @kobebeff, but I'd rather check it myself, this situation will occur reccurently given that all fixed cameras I have aren't displaying the SN.

Unable to locate model name, to find appropriate firmware update

I am experiencing something different : My PTZs are saving settings just fine with Firefox. The only time I have to use IE is to view the video on older models.

Unable to locate model name, to find appropriate firmware update

You make good points here. I was thinking about a firmware update hoping to gain potential features that could have been added since then like deep IVS. My main issue is one I have posted in another thread on this forum, having random "***.backup_" files generated to my FTP server, they go away...

What are *.backup_ files ? Can we avoid them being generated ?

Hi all, I have been going through a mystery, and I cannot find any answer nor even a mention of it online. Uploading to my FTP server and logging the activity generated by the cameras, I am seeing that one of them, an older IP camera, send a lot of files : These files don't stay on the FTP...

Unable to locate model name, to find appropriate firmware update

Hi all, I'm trying to find what precise model is a camera I have remotely. Looking on Dahua's site, I can't find the information where it is supposed to be : My PTZ shows the model name correctly : Do you know how to retrieve that online? I was thinking somewhere on the interface of the...

    Black shape on PTZ

Thank you so much ! I did not think of that and you saved me a fair bit of messing around. If someone else wonders where to find the option, here it is :

Cannot access camera behind NVR 4108HS

DMSS and SmartPSS let you access to the camera through the NVR. Yes you cannot add the cameras directly in the applications, but that is not what I was trying to do. I could not have access the webpage of the camera after clicking on the camera's shortcut within SmartPSS, until I began opening...

    Black shape on PTZ

Hi all, I came across a very weird thing today. I was setting up deep IVS rules on a camera that was up for months. When drawing a trip wire rule, it created a black shape on that particular view. As you can see, it is kind of localised : when you move around, it stays exactly where it had...

Cannot access camera behind NVR 4108HS

So I managed to access it : I went on the DMSS app, and while browsing this app, I could access it through the computer. Not really a fix, but found an unexpected workaround I guess

Cannot access camera behind NVR 4108HS

Hey, I don't think this is related to the browser, as these link are opening fine on another NVR I have here with me for tests.

Cannot access camera behind NVR 4108HS

Hello, I have a my NVR configured pretty simply : connected to my router on the 192.168.1.* network NVR switch address 10.1.1.* IP PTZ connect on NVR PoE port 1, after letting the NVR configure it by itself, IP address is 10.1.1.65. camera is visible on the live panel activated "PAT" under...
