Identify This Hik Clone / TrendNet IP315PI

TRENDnet | Products | TV-IP315PI | Indoor / Outdoor 4 MP PoE Dome Day / Night Network Camera Does anyone happen to know the equivalent Hik model to this camera? Adding a second driveway camera to help get better coverage on door pullers. I do have some motion lighting, so considering whether to...

    Dealership Wheel Theft

Just stumbled on this video, it pays to have good monitored cameras:

    1am Car Door Checker

Yes - the motion wasn't enough to trigger my PIR sensor that far down in the driveway, made some adjustments last night and now a vehicle close to the end of the driveway will trigger it, so I think I should be better. I think I will add another camera on the other edge of the driveway as well.

    1am Car Door Checker

Police followed up and let me know there was a home break and enter that happened shortly after this, I think I'll be staying up to tweak my night settings tonight, need to find a way to turn off that WDR at night through BI.

    1am Car Door Checker

Unfortunately he didn't trigger my PIR for motion lights somehow, worked this morning when I walked across the same area to test it so that was disappointing. Also really need to move my camera position to the middle of the driveway, this image was pretty useless. 3MP Hikvision Dome.

How to deal with porch pirate

And the real version - but with just a blank shotgun shell rigged:

    Burglar Caught

Very true - the video doesn't show much beyond the general height, weight and skin color of the person. A higher resolution and proper lens would have done a better job - but this beats no camera I guess. I've always thought the Nest outdoor cameras were very susceptible to being stolen or...

Bought an NVR without POE by mistake (NVR4208-4K), what should I do?

That suggest above will work - you might want to quickly run the math on how many cameras, their resolution and then double check the speed of the ports on your NVR. If they are 100Mbit you might have a bottleneck if you're adding a large number of high megapixel cameras. When I looked up your...

    Shots Fired

Damn, what a situation. If I had to guess I'd bet that vehicle was stolen, pretty common for them to do that before something like this and those old jeeps are easy to boost. Glad everyone is safe and no one was hurt.

    Blue Iris Requirements

Nope, this won't work, you might want to have a look at the Blue Iris site.

    i7 Performace

The BI Database isn't the actual recordings, just the file that indexes where everything is at so BI recommends keeping it on fast / local storage so I've placed the DB file on the SSD (it's quite small). In my setup, the recordings stay on the WD Purple drive, putting them on the SSD would burn...

    i7 Performace

I can say that in my personal experience, moving the OS + App to an SSD made a massive night / day difference to how my system responds. I had previously been using a single WD Purple 3TB drive for everything, after moving the OS to an SSD along with the Blue Iris Database the system is totally...

    Blue Iris - Version 4.3.7

This is really cool, I have a Nest cam that's used as a baby monitor and I would love to have it connected to my Blue Iris system. However, if I have to remove the login and make it public there's absolutely no way that's happening. The bandwidth concerns are big as well, I wouldn't want to pull...
