Its a very high pitched tone. depending where you have the tone dail set, you may hear a whistle noise if stood next to it but it is definitly not loud.

I used somthing like this. Before, i was getting smelly presents all the time. After first placing it, the cats would scare and run when it activated. Now, the cats are getting used to it and still passing through, but not leaving any presents for me.

I dont have the new camera, but i did notice another difference.

Not nuch different after changes. Set exposure to 1/75 and changed brightness and contrast. Going to add more ir.

Yeah, the camera ir is on 100%. Ihave set to H264, Changed exposure control to manual 1/100 and will see how it is tonight. Thanks!

After reading here and elswhere, i have been adjusting the settings over time and cant figure how to get a better still image for walking speed at night, apart from maybe adding more IR. The street is poorly lit aswell. In daylight i have no problems at all.

Just checked and that is pretty much the only place i am able to put anything.

The area im intrested in is about 25ft away at ground level and the light will about 18ft up At the minute, i have a 6 LED univivi illuminator and a DS-2DE4A225IW-DE

Im not too concerned about spreading the light wider, it was more to brighten what i allready have to get a more detailed night image of a walking target.

Would 2 x 6 LED illuminators pointed in the same direction give me 2 x the light? I ask because i bought 1, 6 LED illuminator and it has improved my night image but i feel it still needs a bit more light. Rather than buy a larger illuminator, i thought i could save a little and just add a...

I don't have a sollution, sorry. I am interested in the replies you get as i am also trying to find a fix for this exact problem with the 2MP version. Also, when it locks onto a walking target it will often overshoot the target and zoom into the distance.

Can someone tell me which of these two cameras would be better for low light in color mode? DS-2DE4A425IW-DE(6) OR DS-2DE4A225IW-DE(6).

Im about to buy a DS-2DE4A425IW-DE PTZ camera. Most of my interaction with the cam will be through the Hic connect app and i was wondering, are the controls responsive through the app or is there a delay/lag? Thanks.
