The whole firmware update seems confusing and I hope someone can explain this... I have read the post on the serial number explanations and understand that WR in the serial means it a world wide version and not chinese. However, the NVR doesn't follow this like the cameras. I have "AARR"...

Thanks aster1x. My mistake, I went for camera ip and not the network range. Dah. I can send emails from my cameras directly now and the image quality is far greater than before. THANK YOU !!!!

Thanks aster1x. My fritzbox has been configured to with one camera, 192.168.254.3 255.255.255.0 to 192.168.1.175 which is the nvr and after setting the Virtual hosting feature I still cannot access the camera. will search the forums for the information you suggest and see where it takes me.

Thanks latropa, but still does not work. The camera setup I have uses the internal Hikvision gateway of 192.168.254.1 so it cannot directly connect to gmail to send an email. The NVR does this. Changing the capture settings above does nothing to help my cause. The images are still 20k low...

Hi latropa, the images you have shown are exactly the same on the NVR as they are on the camera interface. However, under storage the camera interface has more options where to store higher quality images on a NAS. The email is working correctly as I stated earlier, just wanting better quality...
