    Than you need a female to female rs232 cable since the nvr is male and your cable is male too :) See attached picture

    If you do not have a computer with a COM port you can use a USB to serial cable. It worked with my laptop via USB and NVR It has to be the exact type which I attached in this message :) Can always help :)

    Nooo :( If I fix that part I think we can fix my issue, I am using Cisco TFTP and I tried using Hikivsion TFTP server too. I can see putty response with NVR but TFTP server I am not sure how it works :( My NVR had a static IP address before the upgrade corrupted, does the NVR have default IP...
