    US Elections (& Politics) :)

Canadians that live near the border commonly go to the USA to receive prompt family medical care. Of course, only the wealthy can afford this. They pay an annual fee to a US based physician who gives them an email, cell, and office number too. No more waiting 58 hours in the ER or months to see...

    US Elections (& Politics) :)

Minimum wage increases benefit high schoolers 85% of the time. This is fact and has been over-proven over and over every time it’s brought up. Allegedly, 3 million jobs will be lost immediately due to $15/hr Fed min. I’m somewhat liberal but also believe in free markets and less government...

My UPS Caught Fire Last Night

If you can, also place the UPS on a piece of ceramic tile; they make them in 12 x 24” pieces too. I learned that from working overseas as the 220 to 120 converters would catch fire all the time and the tile trick has saved many lives and still does today. The tile will hold off a lot of heat for...

My UPS Caught Fire Last Night

Wow I just mounted a 2U rack mounted Eaton-Powerware UPS on a vertical rack attached to a basement floor joist. Looks like I’ll be tapcon’ing it to the concrete wall nearby. This is terrifying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Reolink 420 5MP audio

Holy crap I didn’t realize how bad Reolink is. I just bought the 5MP dome from AMZ. I’m going to return it ASAP. I haven’t even opened the damn thing. I’ll stick with Amcrest and Hikvision. I learned the hard way with S3VC. Those are trash! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Using Laview domes with amcrest NVR

That is true. I had been remotely logged into the NVR but never physically went to the NVR in the garage. My setup is a mess. I need to mount these cameras and pull cable today. Also need to get crap out of the garage and put the stuff in the basement. Yuck i used to get paid to pull cabling and...

Using Laview domes with amcrest NVR

Oh wow I just walked back to the NVR and it apparently is working fine now. Okay so the issue for me was that even though I checked the box to activate ONVIF, I never added a username and password there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Using Laview domes with amcrest NVR

.59 and .60 are identically configured LaView cameras. Did you change the camera resolution? Maybe there is an issue with the Amcrest NVR not being able to do 4MP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Using Laview domes with amcrest NVR

What exactly did you do? I made my cameras "ONVIF" by checking a box and adding an ONVIF user. I then went to the NVR and added the two LaView cameras that auto-populated in the search as ONVIF compatible. I then made sure each camera had the proper ONVIF username and password. It still doesn't...

Using Laview domes with amcrest NVR

I’m having the same issue. I have a Amcrest NV4108 nvr and two new LaView LV-PD514028C domes. The Amcrest NVR can see it after I activated the ONVIF feature within the LaView cameras configuration but it won’t otherwise communicate with the camera.
