Help with false motion detection due to ambient light changes

If you are happy with 5.1.6 then stick with it, it's just my opinion. I dropped back down to 5.1.4 and ran it for a long while because I was disappointed with 5.1.6 but eventually went to 5.2.0. Tried 5.2.3 but noticed a severe increase in lag on a 3mp cam. I have Enable Dynamic Analysis off...

Help with false motion detection due to ambient light changes

For me I had issues with WDR and some other problems with 5.1.6 For the "Expert" motion detection you have far more configuration settings to play with. 8 configurable zones Sensitivity scale from 1 to 100 in increments of 1 for each zone Proportion scale from 1 to 100 for each zone Separate...

Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NVR...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV The other thing I forgot to mention is that the sensitivity scale is from 1 to 100 in the Expert settings compared to a minimum setting of 20 in normal motion detection which is still way too high.

Help with false motion detection due to ambient light changes

5.2.0 is the best firmware for motion detection accuracy in my opinion. You need to be using the "Expert" motion detection settings to eliminate the vast majority of false triggers. I've only just written this post in another thread which covers your problem. It's post number "18"...

Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NVR...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV There is one advantage of the expert motion detection settings over a PIR sensor and that is pin pointing exactly where you need to cover. Not only that, you can set 8 individual zones independently of each...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV As a heads up, avoid 5.2.3 significant increase in lag especially on a 3mp camera

Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NVR...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV ps. I'm using firmware V5.2.0 on all cameras, the most stable in my opinion

Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NVR...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV It's neither the POE port or the camera. It's the simple fact that the NVR is overriding the camera. Mine are separately on the same network but when the camera IP address is configured into the NVR that's the...

Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NVR...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV Hmmm! I'm puzzled on the chrome browser now as that usually cures the problem. I know it's not ideal but the only sure way I know of right now to stop the camera motion settings reverting back to normal is to...

Re: Camera/cameras not keeping expert settings-Yellow triangle under Camera tab in NV Hi phoenixone I have experience with the exact same problem you are having with a HikVision NVR but I can only assume you have your NVR setup to pick up the cameras on the network rather than cameras plugged...

    Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW questions

Yes sorry about not mentioning the bitrate and yes you've hit the spot, I agree with you on the aspect ratio that's why I mentioned the 2mp camera above for that very reason. As you will know if using IVMS-4500 it will default to the sub stream to take advantage of the lower settings configured...

    Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW questions

Hi Fenderman. Yes I'm fully aware of thie 2 streams. 3mp are great for high detail static recordings to an NVR viewed from a local network pc but we set these up for customers all the time primarily for mobile viewing. It's unsurprising to us how many rarely use hardware other than their phones...

    Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW questions

I agree, do away with wifi if you want a solid reliable connection. Instead use 2 homeplugs to transmit the signal over your existing mains electrical circuit. Plug one into a mains socket near the router and plug in an Ethernet cable from your router into it then do the exact same thing at the...

    Password fails with No-IP

I'm familiar with this exact situation in two completely different cases where you can find the camera without issue but cannot log in. The first was with a no-ip host name just like you mentioned but seemed to be a one-off. There was no problem logging in using the DDNS.org host but impossible...
