IP Cam that records locally to NAS via Wifi?

Hello, I'm looking to replace a few of my D'Link DCS-934L cams. For ease and for budget constraints right now, I'm looking for something very similar. I want to be able to still use Blue Iris to record locally (to a NAS) via wifi or ethernet cable. I know there is a certain spec that allows for...

    BlueIris: Record to NAS issues

UPDATE: I figured out my issue. For whatever reason, I had to make sure that I was signed on to the correct Windows login account (the same that is setup for the NAS) for being able to see the live video stream and still record to the NAS. It may be a setting within Blue Iris 4 that I may need...

    BlueIris: Record to NAS issues

So I came here looking for answers and I found them. I finally got the videos recording to my Synology 220j NAS. Yay! My solutions was this: 1) On the network share/NAS box create a user account for "BlueIris" as the username and a password that you pick. 2) On the network share/NAS box grant...

Needing Budget Friendly and Effective Outdoor Setup

Thanks for the reply. So my choices seem to be that we can go unprotected until we can save a lot more money for a system that meets our needs or we can buy the wireless IP cams for cheaper and hope for the best.

Help with selecting new IP cams for use with Blue Iris

I appreciate the insight. Is there something maybe quite a bit cheaper that fits my criteria? I just can't swing that much money with how many cams I need/want. I don't need cams that are in a business and remember that I rent, so I can't run wiring in the walls. Thanks.

Help with selecting new IP cams for use with Blue Iris

Thank you for the reply. They will primarily be for inside use but a few outdoor ones would be nice for outdoor areas. Today, I just use 3M Command Strips to mount my current cams and that works well so far as I rent and don't want to leave a bunch of holes in the walls. Low light/Nightvision is...

Hello All, I am looking for assistance/opinions on what new cameras I should buy. I'm looking to get at least 10 cams as it allows for monitoring of pets throughout the day when not home. Currently using D-link cams (mix of different models) and they seem to dropout quite a bit. Here is what I...

How to record daily segments continuously and keep a week's worth?

Hello all, I am new to Blue Iris and have tried Googling my issue but can't find a working result. I have also consulted the help guide within Blue Iris. A little back story - I have 9 IP cams (D-link) and used to use their recording software called D-Viewcam. Their software would crash on...
