This might be a result of the Doze feature on the latest major releases of Android: Inside Marshmallow: What is Doze, how do I use it and what does it do?
Try one of the other apps, like from LaView or HikVision. I know for a fact that the LaView app prompts for a device password after resetting and adding the doorbell - I just did it the other day.
Thanks, it seems like their account systems have finally caught up to when I changed my password after the whole login debacle. Updated my credentials and it works fine now.
I've been able to use the Guarding Vision app instead of the laview one. Others are also reporting being able to login to one app, but not others. It's not an ideal solution but it at least gives you access to the doorbell features while they finish their "maintenance"
I tried resetting my pw, but it said it didn't recognize my username or email. I then tried to create a new account with my username and it said it already exists. [emoji58]

How necessary is the included resistor?
I connected the LaView version and at first it would just rapidly flash the led around the button and it wouldn't start up. I thought maybe there was a problem with the power, but I took a reading of the wires with a multimeter and it gave me 18V. To get...
In regards to the announcements, is it true that you can turn the volume down on the doorbell so that no sounds come out of it? I'm willing to live with no sounds from the doorbell since I'm not too interested in the 2 way audio.
