My outdoor Foscam camera works great - when its got power. Leaving it plugged into the outlet trips the GFCI switch every few days. The covers on these things don't have room for something being continually plugged in. Anyone else have this problem and how do you deal with it?

Okay, I found the answer. It's not obvious but you have to go into setup and use the PTZ setting and tell it what to do. I created my own preset position and set it to go to that. Hope this might help someone else.

It's driving me crazy, when I reboot or power up it defaults to a strange position. How do I set the home position so when it reboots it comes back to the place I want? I'm using the VMS software on a PC and the Foscam app on my phone and can't find it. Thanks

OK! THAT WAS IT!. It was the power supply. I have another Foscam camera and the power supply was identical. I swapped it out and it started right up. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Roughly eight yr old camera has been flawless, now dead. No signal, no connection. No lights on the thing so can’t see it’s getting power but confident it’s plugged into a good outlet. What should I check? Anyway to revive it.?

No, a manual adjustment. If I mount it on my house, how can I point it in a direction that is not perpendicular to the house? It's silly to think that someone won't want to point it in a different direction.

Also, without a fish-eye lense. My Foscam FI9805P was perfect for eight years but the IR lights have died. I need horizontal adjustment.

They may get the hardware there but I think they develop their own software. The foscam software is much different from Amcrest.

This has been a fantastic camera - see videos at www.bobhatcherweather.com but lately the IR lights don't come on. Manually, I have to reboot it to get them to come on. I did a factory reset and it was fine for a few days but then the problem resurfaced. Any thought? Bob

What I find really interesting is that on the ios app the developer refers to them as "Schedules" while on the PC app he refers to them as "Profiles". That's what confused me.
