    Thanks Alistair for what you have shared! Just unbricked 2 cameras bought on eBay, upgraded unwittingly and managed to upgrade a third which I knew I could not upgrade but had lost functionality due to NVR firmware updates. Now all upgraded and fully functional again.

    I discover the hard way that I had been sold a grey market camera. Made an amateur error and copied a blank file over the top of mtdblock6 while trying to copy the file back to PC. Anyone got a copy they can share so that I can at least try and unblock the camera. Thanks in advance.
