New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

On the RCA the restet button was a bit awkward to keep down under the rubber, had to use a fingernail to make sure it was down the whole time. My guess is the LED flash is the boot loader completing and the beginning of the firmware flash so if you are not getting the flash something more may be...

As soon as it powers up it will be red , you need to keep holding the reset button. LEDs will flash once, and still be red when they come back on, do not release reset button continue to hold the reset button until LEDs turn blue and doorbell announces reset successful, took about a minute or...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

That’s strange, I have no problem using hik connect app on one device and rca App on another. Perhaps delete the camera from both apps and try adding it to the rca app first, I’m sure someone else will chime in (pun intended) with a fix shortly.

You can reinstall the rca app now you have it set up and set the chime from there. I prefer the rca app on my phone and the hik app on the iPad.

Or you could probably just change the wifi using batch tool or ivms back to your network and it will just work with your existing app you will need to initialise the SD card after you have it configured

I went back because of the device registration requirement, I couldn't have LaView on the phone and HIK Connect on the Ipad.

Yes RCA, EZVIZ and HIK Connect apps all working with the La View firmware. To use the LaView app I had to delete the camera from the other apps and register it with LaView but decided to go back to RCA on the phone and HIK Connect on the IPad because I have a HIK NVR

One more vote of thanks to Chadsturgill for testing all the firmware options, another happy camper here with no logo and onvif enabled on my RCA branded doorbell (with oval shaped rather than round camera surround)

In need to forward port 443 for remote access to home assistant but when I do the RCA and HIK apps both report the the doorbell as offline. Is there anything I can do to get them to both work together?

That’s a shame, I’d hoped an ONVIF update may have been on the way for RCA owners too. If anyone US based happens to be talking with Voxx support I’m sure many RCA owners would be interested to know especially since it is available on the Laview version now.
