Shame as Hikvision do support AAC on some cameras just not all. Np, and yes you're right although I was asking for advice in case someone had already looked into it and had the answer; you're right if I were able to figure it out myself I wouldn't ask on a Q&A forum such as this... -

Hi all, I have a number of the DS-2CD2442FWD-IW cameras which are excellent but are missing some key functionality which is limiting for my needs: 1. AAC isn't supported as an audio encoding codec 2. SMB v2 isn't supported 3. SSH SCP isn't supported (only basic FTP, and that only supports...
