Has any one used a H.View NVR, and if so what is your opinion?

Getting my 'feet wet' regarding security cameras. I have a Dahua DHI-NVR4208-8P-4K with 4TB hard drive. Version 3.210.005.0, build date 2016-06-14. I would like to upgrade the firmware. Can someone please give me detailed instructions that are understandable by a 80 year old guy (me!!!)?

Yes, the flower basket has a turret style camera IR is active although I do not use it. I installed low output LED lights so that I have color video.

My wife is very picky so I had to come up with a good way to place my backyard cameras! The Owl has a Wyze camera and the flower basket has a Dahua camera. From a distance the lenses are not too visible, but of course close-up it is obvious.

I am tempted to purchase a Annke NV400 camera; however since I am using a Dahua NVR I wonder ithe NVR is recognized by the NVR and f the features like line crossing can be implemented.

You are correct! I did not have the correct password. The only thing that does not work is the Trip wire setup (IVS?). I can not find a way to enable it.

I have a few Amcrest IP5M-T11179EW-28MM cameras and want to use them with my Dahua NVR302A-08/4KS2 (NVR4208-8P-4KS2) but the NVR does not recognize the Amcrest cameras. Can I install Dahua firmware so that the NVR does recognize the cameras? If so, what Dahue firmware should I use and where...

What is substream optimization? I know that cameras have a Main stream and Substream output, but how does one select optimization?

I have looked into Blue Iris. What do you recommend as far are using a PC powerful enough to handle 4 each 4mp cameras and 2 each 8mp cameras? Also, which camera is preferred for low light conditions: HDW-2431 or HDW-2831T (both fixed lens models)?

My mistake. I found the event recording page, but now I see no way of deleting the recordings. I must say, the Dahua NVR GUI is not intuitive at all.

Tried that, but still nothing. I am going to try connecting (with a long) directly to the NVR. Perhaps that will show what causes it. I will let you know tomorrow.

Point of Interest: The fixed lens camera is connected via IP over power line. Perhaps that could be the problem?
