Successfully updated 2x DS-2CD2332-I and 1x DS-2CD2532F-IS cams from China/English hacked v5.2.0 to 5.4.5 English. All 3 cams had no issue doing the update in one shot. I've had these cams for 6yrs and finally updated them haha. Thanks so much Alastair! -

Video freeze in motion detection enabled
I don't have a solution but I had the same issue. I am now using 24/7 continuous record with motion still active and have no issues. -

How to Set up up Continous and motion recording
As suggested already, my solution is to have email alerts. This gives me continuous recording and notifications when motion occurs. Obviously for this to be effective you need to spend some time to setup your motion settings in order to avoid false triggers flooding your inbox. -

Nexus 5 with Android 5.1 It looks like it is the hik devices according to comments on the play store. Hikvision support says to update to the latest firmware. My cams all have the original 5.2.0 loaded still so I will do some reading to see how to update them. The HD, tablet version, works... -

This was short lived. :( It worked briefly then became inconsistent. The app works sometimes and other times it just loads the streams forever. I even uninstalled and reinstalled with the same results....Maybe Android 6 will be better otherwise I will be changing apps. Bummer. -

Even on the local network it won't load. I just get the spinning circles for each cam and that continues indefinitely. What makes it worse is the app won't close either. After hitting close the app wants to stop the camera feeds but they never actually started so it can't stop them. It just... -

Anybody else having issues with the latest android version of IVMS-4500? Ever since updating to version 4.2.0 (build 20150820) none of my cams are viewable. They are detected however they just load forever and nothing happens. This app worked seamlessly for me previously. -
