Im not using 4200, but don't you habe a schedule settings tab? You have to set it up for motion detection in both places.

    2CD2032 no motion detection

Make sure the arming schedule is highlighted green, not sure if it's the same on yours but on all of mine you go into the edit tab I believe under the arming schedule, select motion detection from the drop down and save it. The grid for the schedule will change from blue to green.

    Ds-2cd4132fwd-iz

Hey guys, just added a DS-2CD4132FWD-IZ to the system. This is my first Hikvision cam to utilize PTZ functionality (Zoom only). My problem is that the zoom works from the cams web interface but not from the NVR or my phone with IVMS-4500. When I attempt to it says "operation not supported by...

    Hikvision DS-7108N-SN/P POE setup

Agreed, forgot I had used it. It is filled with dielectric grease and inside an AT&T box on the house but will be the first place I go if there are future problems.

    Hikvision DS-7108N-SN/P POE setup

Well, I got up on the ladder today and checked the connection, ended up causing a lot of unnecessary work for myself. Turns out I had put a coupler in a telephone box on the side of the house with a service loop. Well I replaced the connectors and it is good to go now. Moral of the story, check...

    Hikvision DS-7108N-SN/P POE setup

pbc, There is a POE tester that measures voltage drop etc, I don't have one. You're probably right on the crimps, I don't have access to the cable end on the pole without a good deal of work. I will replace the one at the NVR tonight and do the other end when I'm able. Thanks for the input and...

    Hikvision DS-7108N-SN/P POE setup

Wanted to update, after receipt of new Hikvision 2132 cam today POE worked immediately with a 6' patch cable. The problem assuredly resides with the length of the Cat5e run which is more than 100' but less than 150'. After all of my fruitless searches I hope I'll be able to shed some light for...

    Hikvision DS-7108N-SN/P POE setup

Mati07, Thanks, I did try DHCP on the camera with no luck, passwords are default and the same. It seems to me I should be getting lights on the POE port if it is attempting to communicate at all. I ordered another 2132-I camera today to do some testing with a shorter cable, until then I am at a...

    Hikvision DS-7108N-SN/P POE setup

Failed to update the NVR firmware remotely 3 times, just hung at 0% and after 20 minutes I refreshed and the NVR was up without having updated or rebooted. Reset cam to defaults and tried plugging back into NVR, still no lights data or joy, tried setting cam ip to 192.168.254.2, 3, and so on...

    Hikvision DS-7108N-SN/P POE setup

spixel, I am attempting to power a DS2CD2132-I which is running 5.20 firmware. I don't recall the firmware version of the NVR but I'll check it when I get home this evening. I remember reading something about password negotiation problems for POE cameras due to the new password risk factors etc...

    Hikvision DS-7108N-SN/P POE setup

0658, thanks, That's why I ordered the new NVR, when my 7604 did the same thing I assumed it was a bad port or a bad 48v power supply, now I suspect it is either my lack of IP cam expertise or the length of the run/ quality of cable. However, two cheap POE injectors have done the job just fine...
