BI demo window has come up when starting after a Windows 10 update with 0 days left and does not accept my license code. Does anyone have a solution please?

I have seen 3 people say they had that issue after the 1803 update so last weekend when I updated my Blue Iris machine I was expecting issues however luckily Blue Iris continued to work fine after the update. If you hear back from support please reply back here with whatever works, I`m curious what causes this for some and not others as well.

Hello Terk and lugnut3
I had a reply from BI Support pointing out that the license key I had entered into the demo window was my extended support and maintenance key, not the basic license key which Jennifer kindly looked out for me. So I will have another dabble hopefully this evening after exporting my settings.
I wondered if the problem is restricted to those who like me are using an SSD to fizz up BI’s performance, although having said that i’m clueless about such things.

Unable to try again with the Windows 10 1803 update. The PC is still on 1709 having failed to find out how to reinstall 1803 (Microsoft says i’m up to date with 1709). Hopefully Microsoft will either make 1803 available to my PC sometime later or hang on until there’s another update that fixes was doesn’t work right with 1803.

I would NEVER be in a rush to install a windows update if things are currently working well.

I had same problem when I did update. Contacted BI support. They told me just enter BI key I bought directly from them. That worked.
I does however use up one of the "Uh Oh" installs you are granted. When those are exhausted, Jennifer can reset them if you have a legitimate story.
Cheers.

Windows has instituted a quarterly update program. They will be rolling out updates each Winter, Spring, Summer Fall.
Unless you turn off automatic updater, they will eventually "push" the update out to you.
Most have a few new (usually useless) features. Some have security updates.
I have mine set to notify me when available, but let me authorize before installing.

Mine did the same thing on all 12 locations with BI! Extremely frustrating and honestly UN-acceptable. All locations quit recording until I was able to remote in and re input the key.

Yes, totally unacceptable. Let us know what VMS you end up going with. Next time disable automatic windows update. I have yet to have this happen to me.

Why do you have to be a jerk? Software was paid for and should not revert to demo. Matter of fact I have bought over 20 copies. Seems like stating that software should not convert to demo is an acceptable request. It is not like its a security product that when it converts to demo it fails to record. Oh wait it is.

I enjoy being a jerk to assholes. You said its "UN-acceptable" do you even know what that means? It was obviously a glitch in the software verification. How else do you suggest he prevent pirating? This is done with other software and vms.
Next time dont be stupid and allow windows to auto update.
Since its "un-acceptable" you must be looking at other options. Let us know what works out for ya.
