Smart IR Firmware for IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5442T-ZE

IMHO the result without IR is better than with IR.
That opinion is only valid if you are trying to see the landscape. Without a shot of a moving person in each pic, one cannot say which is better.

My 0.02 ... not working great for me.

Not sure if this is something SmartIR could even resolve for me, but I have a 5442 cam on a dark driveway with a car typically parked in it. The front LP reflects the IR a lot and causes the rest of the scene to be affected negatively. No IR is too dark, and way too dark for color.

I'm sure the best solution is IR mounted somewhere away from the camera, but i don't want to do that.

I setup firmware.
I attached 2 photos with IR and without IR.
IMHO the result without IR is better than with IR.

Is it possible to setup less intensity of IR in this firmware?
Set it to manual and adjust the emitter output.

Could you explain how manual IR mode work?
1610374446505.png Go to the IR Light setting. Set it to 'Manual' from the pull down option. Move the slider to the left to make the IR emitter less bright. Move it to the right to make it more bright. Or use the minus button ( - ) to make it less bright one step at a time, or the plus button ( + ) one step at a time. Zero brightness is off. 100 is full maximum output.

Normlly in Day mode the camera will be in color and the IR won't be visible, needed or used.
