Yō @Ssayer where's cutie cat on the move is the a seasonal thing ... tell hell to get back on the camera love her since it was cold!

Hah! I didn't want to do an overload on cat pics/vids! She's a regular and warily comes in to the kitchen to get attention while I'm getting food ready to put out for her. She's had her litter (on the 18th), so we're waiting on them to show up so we can see colors so we know for sure who the fathers are. Even though we've done our best to NOT encourage him, the Apricot colored cat (that has a collar and only seems to be out at night no doubt because he is constantly meowing ) stops by every evening. I hear him coming WAY before he comes into view of any of my cams.

Also, the other constant this time of year (hunting season) are the turkeys. It's so funny that people go way back into the woods to try to get one and all I have to do is look out the windows or at one of my monitors...

Since she has had her litter, her demeanor has been changing rapidly. This would have never happened before as she was just too feral. Still, she has to be in easy reach of the open door. I'm thinking she's scouting us out for her kittens.

Thats how we ended up with ours.

3 kittens abandoned in the back yard, i fed them, gave them a little make shift shelter like you.

One day when they're about 6-8 months old, the one female has her own litter, Now we got a problem!
For about 2 weeks she would move them around to different spots in the backyard, and I would go check and help her as she seemed to always forget one.

Then one day I'm hanging at the pool, hear a meow, open the screen door and in she struts with a kitten in her mouth, plops it down and proceeds over the next 30 minutes to go back and get all 5 and bring them to me. At that point she became a pool lanai cat, made them a nice comfy shelter, screened it so kittens wouldnt get in the pool. Fortunately got the kittens all adopted out, and got the 3 originals fixed, Before long her brother and sister began hanging out with her in the pool enclosure, ...and now I have three 12 yo indoor cats.

It's been 3 full days since she's had even a bite of food from us. She's still coming in to say hi and get a little attention, but that's about it. The hunting is just to good for her here.

Looks like a ground squirrel or chipmunk and not an eastern gray squirrel, right?

Just curious...they're all #$%@ rodents anyway. Squirrels chew my garden hoses and extension cords in my shed and even chewed the plastic handle tips of my Mahindra tractor's gearshift, throttle and PTO clutch. I hate the little fargin' bostiges!

It's a chipmunk. They like to chew on anything plastic including electrical wiring when they find a way to get to it. One year when we put some Christmas lights out early (the ones that look like a one inch ball in particular). We had a strand where a good number of the lights were chewed off, buried and/or scattered around the yard. I'm sure they were thinking the lights were nuts or something. PLUS they'll eat the buds right off of our ground flowers (Impatiens in particular) before we get to see the flowers. My record for a summer with my 5 gallon bucket (half filled with water and then a thin layer of sunflower seeds on top) was something like 150 plus a few summers ago. Better this cat be well fed than wasting those rodents...

Yep, their gopher cousins would chew the thermoplastic on the traffic signal wiring in the underground electrical pull boxes. In 31 years I pulled dozens of their electrocuted carcasses out of those boxes. From what I understand they like it because of the soy content. Red, orange and similar hues seem to be their favorites.
