Makes me wish I had 4KTs with their better sensors and actual 4K for the sky cams and not the 180Ts.

The functions and abilities of Blue Iris can be used as little or as much as you want. You can keep it as simple as you like, or go uber-nerd with it.

Pick a camera for a purpose and use it for that purpose, don't double dip.

What do you use for editing? My software will only do 10x, and even with Youtube playback set to 2x I feel it's still a bit slow (and long). I am currently re-rendering it because the title pages got cropped off, but this is what I have from the first upload.

I had the same experience in Indianapolis. Couldn't really see with the naked eye, but the T180s were able to catch them. I have some stuff to do this morning, but will get the footage pulled and uploaded later.

The new GUI has a lock on the IVS page, but I have found it doesn't keep it moving if triggered. This could be due to getting called to a preset from BI though. I usually just call it back to the preset from the UI3 interface and carry on with my adjustments.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe that model has autotracking.

Nope, backlight is off.

I'm not too concerned with it since the capture is usable, but was just curious. I also don't notice it with my LPRs since they just stare at asphalt all day and can't get any greyer. Here is the video.

This isn't the end of the world to find a fix for, but just curious why the scene will be a little washed out/dull until any motion is in the FOV and then the saturation/color will change. Settings are basic for Day: typical exposure, low gain, no Backlight, WB set to Outdoor. Z12E-S2 Below is...

I have some cameras with this checked and others that don't have it checked, but no clue why. Does anyone have an opinion on which is the best method? I think if you want it unchecked you will need to uncheck it in the non-primary profile.

The way it just peels the roof off of the garage, that's crazy.

These are with my older Z12E as LPRs. I would say they are comparable to 4MP.

Having a 4MP/2.8 Mini-PTZ, of the two choices, I would definitely go 2MP/2.8 over the 4MP/2.8, no question. However, I would try to justify the PTZ5A4M-25X at 4MP/1.8 in any way I could.

It's hard to see the second rainbow, but we had some storms roll through yesterday and I was able to capture a pretty nice rainbow last night. You can just see the second rainbow to the right and left.

The Z12E-S2 is an updated version of the original Z12E. Edited for -S2, I have been saying -S3, but that's the 5442 turret.

Unfortunately that's the problem with the 5442, once you use them you don't really want to use anything else. Due to the form factor, I installed a wedge next to the door for ID, I would much rather have a 5442 there and may eventually end up switching it out when I have nothing else to do, but...

It's not a fair comparison as I am still working on the settings for the Z12E, but it does show that the 2MP is still capable of good detail at that distance. My thoughts were right zoom for the job and night time performance. The Z4E is maxed out, but I can see what I want to see, so it works...

This is my Z4E at approximately 60ft. And my Z12E-S3 at approximately 95ft.

Deactivate the trigger on all but one, don't try troubleshooting this issue on more than one at a time.
