The facial recognition company Clearview AI is telling investors it is on track to have 100 billion facial photos in its database within a year, enough to ensure “almost everyone in the world will be identifiable,”

Would even George Orwell have foretold this? I find it scary. Some have been scared of barcodes tattooed on everybody's forehead. This will accomplish the same thing. Just point your smartphone at somebody and get ID info plus criminal record, credit report, DNA details, and anything else that is in databases. The only hope is that its a Washington Post article, and could therefore be totally fake.

I kind of did that for many years with various things that ask for personal information. Put all kinds of weird shit in. I'm well over the age now and AARP still hasn't found me, so I claim that as a success. ; )
