One of my cameras needs to have current time set. No browsers seem to work anymore.
Any workaround?

Which browsers have you tried?

Try Pale Moon 32 bit (not 64 bit).
Allow the ActiveX plug-in from the cam to download and install.

BTW, your cams can be set up to be synced with a NTP server via the BI server.

Ok, got Pale moon 32 installed and registered.
How do I get my camera now, 192.168.0.109 ?
It does not work.
I have to create a new current time overlay and remove an existing one which is off by 1 day and is in military time format.

Can you provide more detail?
You infer they did, what changed?

What is the error you receive?
Do you have subnets?
What was the URL you used back when your earlier browser did work?
Have you tried that URL? How are you constructing your URL? From bookmarks? Manually?
Is your camera setup using DHCP?

Sounds like not a browser issue but either your camera or home network are not on the same IP Address now.

How do I do this?
Is it doing it (or did it) automatically?

I am however getting the appropriate interface asking for Username: and Password:
However, when I enter them as they exist now from Blue Iris, I get
Invalid username or password!

If I can't get to my Camera GUI this way, is there another way make changes?

If you no longer have the proper auth credentials for the camera, then your best course of action would be to reset the camera.

Some people on this forum also suggest using a different browser if you are having difficulty logging into a camera or making changes to the camera after you have logged in. The cameras do appear to be browser brand centric.

There are several questions in this thread you have not answered, one of them is ”what browsers have you tried (so far)?”

Yes!

This could be the issue right there.
Please try other browsers.
Try: IE, Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.
Tried all of the ones you mentioned.
I have 5 cameras, 3 of them Dahua(or rebrands) and 2 of them Hikvision(rebrands)
There are many I would like to make to most of them.
Back in 2011, I used internet explorer without problems.
Now everybody is hacking everything and the tools are disappearing.

There has to be a way!?

My main browser is chrome.

2011? So your cameras are 11 years old. Are they POE?
Do you have subnets?
How are you constructing your camera URL? Manually, from bookmark, through BI, etc

I am not sure what this sentence means:
Now everybody is hacking everything and the tools are disappearing.

What tool disappeared? Was your system hacked in some way? Is this why things are not working as you expect?

From your description so far you have tried all major/minor browsers and with each of them you get the login page for the camera but do not have the user/pass for any of the 5 cameras. This is an authentication concern. Please perform a reset on all 5 cameras. Then setup and configure each of them individually (one at a time) after resetting each one.

A camera reset will allow you to provide a user/pass.

No, did not say the cameras were 11 years old.
11 years ago is when I first installed ip cams at a my house where I lived then (in another state).
We had a different website, similar to this one, hosted in Germany.
I remember Federman and others being there.
By tools disappearing I mostly meant browsers that would let you get into your camera's settings.

Without the proper auth I feel no tool will help you. When you reset your cameras (one at a time) were you able to log in?

You have indicated that you can reach the login page. This indicates that you are successfully hitting the camera and simply cannot log in. So this is good news. Just need to sort out the auth.

Not only am I the administrator of this computer, I built this from the ground up with 12 core processor and Liquid cooling.
Also setup Blue Iris and installed all the cameras with cat6 cables.
Anyway, am in my 80s and lost a lot of gray matter with age and cancer treatments.
I do all of this for a hobby and to keep my mind occupied(2 different cancers).
So what authority might I not have?
All the cameras have usernames and passwords.
Is it possible I used the wrong camera's credentials? Yes it was.
But then I double checked that and I had the correct credentials for the ip address I used.
Like I said before, I lost some gray matter. It is most likely something I overlooked.

Any ideas?

It is good to know your are well versed in hardware and software. Security cams are an awesome way to stay engaged, I plan to do the exact same. I am 59.

This is appearing more and more as an authentication (auth) concern.

From what you are telling me, you don’t have the proper auth (user/pass) info.
That could be confirmed if you shared a screen shot of your monitor when you are denied access.

If you are not comfortable sharing a screen shot of what happens when you try to log into a given camera, then I suggest simply resetting that camera. Resetting a camera allows you to provide a user/pass.

Either way at this point, without some tangible error to look at or specific issue that you can share, I don’t know what else to suggest.

I solved it!
I had to search for active x controls on Blue Moon, then install it, then it let me into the camera settings.
It was slower than molasses. I was able to look at all the camera parameters but it took 4 minutes loading.
Camera video did not load but it wasn't what I was looking for.

I just looked at your system, and noticed you are running "as a service".
I might try that, but my Blue Iris is only running between 0.5% and 4.5 %, while my CPU is only running between 1% and 5 %.
My problem is my 2 ANPVIZ cameras.
One of them has crystal clear resolution and I am running (viewing) it only on mainstream because the picture is crystal clear.
Because I liked it so much, I bought a second one just like it.
That second one started giving me problems by gradually loosing mainstream keyframes and then totally loosing connection every 10 minutes or so.
I installed a brand new Cat6 cable for it, but that solved nothing.

Then I returned the 2nd one to Amazon and ordered a new one again.
That did the same thing. Then I returned that on for a new one. Same thing.

Then a 3rd one. Same crap.

Now I am done with Anpviz.
Since these cams are all rebranded Hikvision cameras, I can imagine someone buying a boat load of their rejects, resetting them and reselling them.
Of course I arrived at this conclusion because I have similar problems with other tech merchandise. I am however willing to keep trying this purchasing procedure because Amazon takes back defective products and credits you.

I have had similar experiences with routers, even good brand ones like NETGEAR.
For most people my way of buying cheap and returning is not efficient and is time consuming, but I am on fixed income and in no hurry, they are better off just following the advise of the knowledgeable board members here.
