Planning a system, and choosing a switch is harder than I thought, even after reading many threads and the wiki.

Two camera start, and no more than 4 planned. I want to isolate the cameras from the rest of the home's network, but get access remotely when away from home.

Looking at ASUS Router RT-AC68U $135ish vs AC86U $180ish. I saw the 68 recommended in a thread as supporting VLAN.

Then looking at TP-Link T1500G-10PS

Does this switch's "smart" management provide what I will need?

It does not check off "static routing." Will that be a problem?

I am also confused about the SPF ports. At first, I could not find a statement about connection to regular lan cable. Then it appears they can. Are there any special considerations for the SPF ports?

Thanks for any input.
