Rabbits

For the past couple of years rabbits have been seen occasionally in the street or on the dirt road below our house. On 2 occasions they came up to the house. During one visit, 2 rabbits come up the hill behind our house and have a brief meeting, then split up and go in different directions. One goes up the driveway and crosses the street and goes up the hill. The other rabbit went in the direction of a large open field.

I believe those are actually hares. Their long ears and size is what distinguishes them from rabbits.

BTW, Bugs Bunny was a hare also. Elmer Fudd had it wrong. Bugs wasn't a Silly Wabbit, but a Silly Hare.

Although rabbits and hares look alike, in a strange way deer look like gigantic rabbits to me also. And, they seem to multiply just as fast.
