Quick product suggestion for Andy / Dahua.

Looking at the threads on audio speakers, it seems no-one sells a cheap auxillery speaker for CCTV cameras.

Yet cameras that come with them built in, seem to have very little cost associated to them.

Why doesn't / isn't anyone producing an auxillery speaker therefore equivalent to the ones that would normally be internal to eg a Dahua camera on models where there is room?

It would seem for cameras where there isn't room to include one, there's a potential market for a tiny cheap external waterproof speaker / amplifier of the equivalent to the normal supplied internal ones.

There are more cameras these days with built in speakers.

Microphones are more useful than speakers

There's a different category of products that also already exists: outdoor loudspeakers / pa systems. Some of these work over SIP or similar protocols and are PoE powered. Unfortunately the best products in this category tends to be a bit pricey, as it's more of a niche / commercial market. There are options on Aliexpress that are more reasonable, how well they work / how secure they are is anyone's guess.

Here's an article about an intercom that does everything imaginable wrong from a security standpoint: Go ahead and unplug this door device before reading. You’ll thank us later.

Yes. Mics are great. Just useful to have a speaker for a point camera eg driveway or rear of property camera but TIOC are overkill if you don't need the additional flashing lights as you're in a lower risk area.
