Motion sensor not working

Hey all!
Have recently upgraded my set up to the following

NVR-104MH-C-4P
Plus 2 xIPC-T250H-G


The issue I am having is that I cannot get the event to trigger at all! When I look at the area settings in the normal event section if I get someone to move around outside none of the red squares recognise any movement, I’ve adjusted sensitivity to no sucess.
very annoying because as far as I’m aware the motion detection should be available on this set up.
Any ideas?

In the camera or NVR web GUI?
You need to use the camera web GUI for the camera configuration settings.

This is on the nvr when I’m trying to enable it, like the menu where you enable/disable motion detection & you see all the red squares. If someone walks infront of the camera literally none of the squares react

Try configuring the motion events on the camera web GUI.
It's the camera that's doing the motion detection.

Just tried that, still no success
