I have 2.622.0000000.23.R, Build Date: 2019-11-01 @ 11264 Kb/S

update: Now i tried 2.622.0000000.8.R, Build Date: 2018-07-31 @ 15104 Kb/S
and V2.800.0000000.5.R, Build Date: 2020-01-07 @ 8192 Kb/S

I keep the 2018 version, the image is vibrantly sharp, with the last one I have compatibility with the brave browser but it looks like a watercolor and supposedly only fixes audio problems in any case to my liking it is not worth it.

KCO, just for clarification, you tried these different firmwares on IPC-HFW1831E? The progression reads as if you updated to a 2.800 firmware but was able to go back to a 2.6xx version?

Yes and in that same order, I did this through the NVR web interface as soon as I saw this thread.

Sorry for not answering before but if you have problems could try V2.800.0000000.2.R, Build Date: 2019-04-04 @ 11264 Kb / S
so as not to get stuck in the latest version.

Thank you for the information.

You were able to roll back a 2.8xx firmware to 2.6xx using an NVR?

Are your cameras connected directly to your NVR?

I encountered some issues I didn't like when going from 2.6 to 2.8, but cannot roll back, at least using the camera's web interface.

From 2.8 to 2.6 no, as I told you and I am currently on the version of April 4, which is the downgrade that I recommend if you have already updated to the latest
maybe bypass with a hex editor is possible...

I finally installed my IPC-HFW2831T-ZS (from Andy) running 2.622.0000000.18.R, Build Date: 2019-01-09
What is the recommended FW at this point?

Is upgraded the FW through the camera interface (Internet Explorer) the best option?

Thanks!

1) Do we still need to do reset the settings by going into System > Default > Default/Factory Default?
2) Also does anyone has a camera settings that they tweaked the camera for better results? I am trying to understand different Camera > Conditions, Camera > Video etc
3) And Event > IVS (trying to figure difference between Tripwire and intrusion)

I don't the IVS for the 1831/2831 works and I think the engineers accidentally put this feature there. I've tried enabling IVS for these two cameras and nothing works plus the spec sheet does not say it supports IVS.

It works fine you need to disable smart codec. Also need to enable it under schedule recording.

Got it working. Though, the detection for the IVS Intrusion seems to be getting a lot of false alerts. Eg, my driveway where my cars are parked. The front window of my car reflects the skys/clouds movement which IVS intrusion seems to be capturing/getting alerted by this. Have tried to also make the square size small and big but issue persist. So far, only using the tripwire.
