In a couple of months I am going to upgrade this existing Dahua PTZ with a new 4K version. Maybe the new one with the 1/1.2" sensor or the old standby with the 4/3" sensor. So in preperation I have made a new mount out of 1.125" aluminum chanel and 1/4" aluminum plate. The bottom plate matches the 21 degree slope of the roof line. I will use 5/16" lag screws to mount to the big wood beam. Here are some pictures. First the camera that will be replaced and the location. Then two of the new mount.

Me too. :) I looked at the Hikvision version with the 1/1.2" sensor and it appears that the Dahua PTZ with the 4/3" sensor has better light gathering specifications. I will wait and see what Dahua comes out with before I place my order. I am also waiting on the 5442-Z12 model to come out. When that one comes out I will play musical chairs with 3 cameras.

Yea 4/3 seems to be better for light gathering than 1 1.2 also I want one PTZ in my setup with Laser so that way if @ night I wanna zoom in further down the street I can with sharp focus assisted by laser IR..

That 5442-Z12 I think there was one for LPR with dual camera which Is kinda cool one can be lpr and another lpr overview :)
