I have a Hikvision DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZHS camera (2017 mod.) which has got moisture inside - due to two weeks of bad weather.

Is there any point in sending it to the dealer to have it fixed, or can I do it my self. I have looked everywhere for a manual explaining such a repair with no luck.

Is there a repair guide available?

I would suspect it is beyond warranty and their cost is probably more than buying a new camera.

Folks have had similar issues with other cameras here, and the process is generally the same to fix it. Take it apart and dry it out (some have put them in a dehumidifier type unit as they had one for drying out food LOL) and change out the silica pack and then put together and put silicone caulk around every change in material.

Thanks, wittaj.
I go for a new and better one, and try to dry out the old one. Is it just twist and release?

Most of them you have to pop the front "glass" off to get to screws. Or if there are screws anywhere on the body, get to it that way.
