Hik-Connect App playback shows solid blue data instead of smart motion event

Hi,

Recently my recording of one my two hikvision cameras stopped and so i went to my nvr to start to re-record. This is fixed now but looking via my hik-connect app playback i see a solid blue continuous bar rather than what i had before which was a smart motion type playback where i could clearly & quickly see where there was motion or an event in my drive without having to scroll through all.
I went back to my NVR and changed the recording schedule from continuous to motion to see could i get back to this smart viewing timeline on the app but no, it is still solid blue showing all day recording and nothing for motion or an event.
Any advice please all. I'm sure its something simple that i need to adjust? thanks in advance.

on your dvr/nvr go to camera/ motion then set from there
thanks for your reply. I have this set already to motion at the NVR. I can view with smart viewing on camera timeline directly at NVR but the app still looks to be Continuous.
