Hello community, I have a Hawell power-full night vision HW-RS399A camera which is not in the Blue Iris list with supported cameras, is there a way to update the software to work with this type of camera?

I have 10 cameras of the same model in different locations and I want to use Blue Iris to monitor all these locations from my home, as I read BI is the best software for the work but my cameras are not supported from BI. Any ideas guys?

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forum. Post a link to the actual camera. Also see this thread https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/4099-How-to-add-camera-to-BI-that-is-not-in-the-drop-down-list

Thank you for the reply and the links fenderman, this camera is made in China there is not an actual site for the camera except these links http://szhleonwu.en.ecplaza.net/hawell-powerful-night-vision-camera--314085-2420296.html , http://shenzhenhawell.suppliers.saom.net.cn/pz510e46b-hawell-small-hd-ir-camera.html . I think I made a mistake to purchase these cams without previous research.

These are the specs on camera:
IR Color CCD Camera
HW - RS399A
Power DC 12 V
Sorry but you made a big mistake with these cameras..they are low resolution analog. The only way to use them with BI would be buying encoders or a dvr then streaming to BI. Its not worth it. The image will be bad. Throw them out/sell them and buy HD ip cameras..Look at hikvision and dahua.

Alernatives?

1) Ask the seller if you can return them...or exchange them for a 2MP+ cameras.

2) Sell them on eBay and purchse Dauhua or Hikvision cameras.

Thank you Fenderman unfortunately I made a big mistake, of course I have a dvr of the same model like the cams that streams and i can see it on my browner remotely, but I'll have to buy new ones.

Thank you very much for the help.
