Getting the hang of it

So I have never worked with Dahua NVR before but am looking into getting one for a client
A few questions came to mind:
1) Am I correct in thinking 5xxx firmware covers anything NVR5000-NVR599? I don't see any firmware name more specific to the NVR I'm thinking of buying - NVR5832-4KS2
2) Is it a big deal that Dahua doesn't appear to update firmware very often? I notice the most recent update on their website is from Feb 2019, that's almost a year ago. I'm used to working with Hikvision who appears to release updates every few months.
