I've got several different Dahua camera models, and each model wants its own version of the webplugin or it won't display its video in the browser. Any way to get a single plugin to work with all of them?

Don't you just love that, even different NVR's do it too, I bet there are 5 or 6 different versions out there, seems once you load them that it..however I got a different laptop for field work and had to start over. I guess their is a trade off for everything.

Maybe I misunderstand. Are you saying you install a newer plugin and an older camera''s interface stops working? I don't think that has happened to me.

Certainly, you may have to install the plugin more than once if you have cameras on different firmware versions, but it should be only once per camera at worst.

Every time I get different model cams(DAHUA) , It will ask to install whatever web plugin it has loaded, I have to do it once and its done. Seems they have their own flavor and yes its usually only once. I can not access the cam direct until I load it.

Here's an example of plugin compatibility. I just loaded the plugin for an HFW-IPC4431R-Z.

It doesn't work with these cameras: HFW-IPC4431M-I2, 5231E-Z, and 4431K-I6.
It does work with with HFW-IPC4431R-Z (where it came from), three other 4431M-I2, and one 4431M-AS-I2

If you cant use all camera web interfaces at the same time then maybe it is worth creating virtual machines for the incompatible versions. Or you could use Chrome + Nacl web plugin for those it works with, and an older plugin for the rest maybe.
