I would suggest going to the Dahua international website. They have all the firmware there

FW is old, web interface is somewhat broken so trying to find an update.

I can't find any version for NVR5216-8P-4KS2E.

Searching for NVR5216-8P in dahua's website results in NVR5216-8P-I or NVR5216-8P-I/L .... not NVR5216-8P-4KS2E

I'd appreciate it if someone provides a direct link to "NVR5216-8P-4KS2E" newer firmware.

I only found for "16P", no idea if it is for 8P:

I didn't. I just looked in the download section here. I wish I could help you, with that, but I can't. Dahua's website is a mess.

There is firmware called DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000007.0.R.210817

Click on it, then click Download.

Good. As you can tell, most Dahua users and vendors aren't really confident in their products. I see the same BS all the time here, most just repeat things because it's the only mantra they know.

This is not really about confident or not, has some guys brick their NVRs when update the latest new fw. And not easy for end users to bring the NVR back again by serial port flash.
NVR has V1 and V2, use different hardware, so fw also different. Just tell you the risks and make sure you update with the right way.

I'm not going to argue with you Andy, but what you are saying isn't exactly brand inspiring. It shows lack of support and major confusion when it comes to software updates. So thanks for hammering my point home. If you felt insulted, I apologize, but I'm not going to sugar coat it. I know I will come under fire here, because you're a sponsor, but I have my opinions. If you agree or not, I don't care.
