I own numerous IP cameras, from various manufacturers. Most are highly compatible with ONVIF. My go-to method of viewing ONVIF cameras, and playing back internal recordings from their SD cards, is via Internet Explorer 11. Also, Firefox (latest version) works much of the time. Usually these browsers consume excessive computer memory and CPU/GPU resources. And IE 11 has one foot in the grave.
Viewing software, such as VLC Media Player, run more efficiently. VLC is great for RTSP but not for playback of events recorded internally, previously; i.e., on the SD card inserted into the camera's assembly. I can't seem to find PLAYBACK of anything, with iSPY.
Can anyone recommend Windows software that works well to playback such video? I don't want to interact with cloud storage. I am comfortable with routers, S2S VPNs, private cloud storage, and all manner of equipment.
