Hey

I have Blue Iris Installed. it works ver fine. I think the best Software for ip Camera.

But what i dont unterstand is the Clip storage method.

I have 10 Ip Camera
I have a i3 8th Generation
I have a 250SSD for Windwos and Blue Iris
I have 1x 10tb HDD Drive
It works very fine with 30% CPU Usage

But i dont unterstand what is the best seeting for clips storage and delete i dont rellay understand.

My Actuall setting

Folder New (D) Seperate Folder on D:
Clip Space: 40GB
Clip Age: 1 Day

Folder Storage (D) Seperate Folder on D:
Clip Space: 10tb
Clip Age: 14 Days

is that true that Blue Iris delete the Clips if the are older than 14 Days and start with day 14?

im so confused it is not clear what blue iris will do after 14 days.

What i notice is what blue iris was doing on my first setting.

New
Clip Size: 10tb
Clip Age: Nothing

Delete

Blue Iris delete the complete new clips after 10tb and start again.
This is not what i want. I sholud overwritte the clips not delete the complete 10tb. this is not surveilance recording.

User error on your part.
Ideally, the Operating system, the Blue Iris Database and the BI program should be on the C:\drive, and the C: drive should be an SSD.
Then the D:\ drive would have only the Bi New folder.
Record everything into that folder. Do you not use days. Only use space.
This requires that the drives are properly allocated in BI.
