Our neighborhood recently had a number of packages "seized" by USPS from Amazon drivers who are putting non-USPS items into mailboxes instead of at their door. Technically a federal crime. The status was "delivered to mailroom", maybe it's a new contractor/employee?

Off topic, but what is the height of your camera?

That's a definite nono. I sometimes deliver Prime Now packages, and part of the "training", they tell you not to do that.

Not only is it illegal but suspicious as heck driving up in an unmarked vehicle and getting into people's mailboxes.

Thankfully I was expecting the package and knew it would be a contracted driver. He even drove by my house and stopped in front of it for a good 10-15 seconds before continuing down the road and turning around.
