We had a pretty sever wind storm come through ahead of a front about 6pm tonight and lost power. Duke Energy (criminals, but a story for another time) says after midnight for power restore so I broke out the generator.

Just a couple of interesting shots.

5442T-ASE-NI bullets. 1/120 exposure
Coach lights only

Even in a power outage you have more light than me LOL. Wish I could run my 5442 in color and that shutter and get that clean of a car shot on the street that looks like a white CRV.

The bulbs in the coach lights are 1200 lumen 100 watt equiv. Nothing too special. But the NI bullets are clearly more light sensitive than the regular VF

Thanks to the Generac 8000/10,000 and the transfer switch, I was up and running in 10 minutes.

(yes my neighbor is poaching some juice ;)

Well I have 33,000 lumen radiating out of my coach lights and lamp post and still can't run that fast of a shutter and get images that good at the street (granted mine is maybe a car length further away than yours, but not unrealistic distances either).

Its the NI model that makes the difference I think.

Of course the flood is 3400 or 4000 lumens (I forget) I actually have to dial back Exp Comp to allow for the flood to kick in
