Installed 5.3.9.6 (2/10/2021) and noticed "HW VA not compatible" error messages in the log. Noticed there was no "I" in the Cameras tab for any of the 5 cameras and in the task manager Blue Iris was not using any GPU.

Went back to 5.3.9.5 (2/8/2021), then had to set it up in each camera again.

Anyone else notice this?

Good catch.

I just checked my log and I have record of 7 of them losing hardware acceleration. One during version 5.3.9.4. Two during 5.3.9.5. Four during 5.3.9.6.

Weird, I sent a email to support. When I tried to add it back in 5.3.9.6 it immediately gave me the error, but after re-installing 5.3.9.5 I was able to add it back to all 5 cameras.

The last 3 in my log happened immediately after installing the 5.3.9.6 update, so probably the same thing that triggered yours.

Intel hardware acceleration has always been a bit less than perfect, but irritatingly, it is still a significant efficiency improvement so I don't want to just turn it off.

Response from support was "Sorry, this may be smoothed out for 5.3.9.7 released today", I just installed it and it seems to have kept the Intel Hardware Acceleration. Of course I had already put it back in the settings when I went back t 5.3.9.5, so after installing 5.3.9.7, I assume you will have to add it back to all cameras.

Interesting... I am seeing the same errors on a number of cameras. Running latest 5.3.9.8

Same here, Intel + VPP works fine in 5.3.8 series, but not in 5.3.9. Oddly enough Intel Beta does work, which I don't remember it working before. Running latest 5.3.9.11

I reached out to Ken and he seemed interested in learning more about the affected cameras. Specifically they are my older hikvision cubes and eyeballs. I forwarded ports for him so he can log into the camera directly to investigate.
