DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

I ended up moving to codeproject.ai a while back where this temp file problem is no longer an issue.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

This issue seems to come and go.. I hadn't seen it in a couple of months, but just checked and its back again. Almost a thousand files built up. I'm going to re-enable my scheduled task of purging the folder every 30 mins. I'm currently running: Blue Iris 5.5.9.5 x64 Deepstack 2022.01.01

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

After a couple months without issue, the temp files are now accumulating again. had 9200 temp files accumulated in the last 24 hrs - this was using deepstack 2021.09.01. I just updated to the latest deepstack (2022.01.01) along with the latest BI update and will keep an eye on it.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

After updating Deepstack to 2021.09.01 about 2 weeks ago, I have not had this issue occur. I'm a bit hesitant to consider it "fixed" because there have previously been times when I didn't experience the issue for several days, but at this point its been just over 2 weeks now without issue.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

I was previously running 2021.02.01. I updated to 2021.09.01 about 48 hours ago, and so far so good - no temp files yet. This issue seems to come and go in my case, so I'll keep an eye on it. Hopefully 2021.09.01 fixed this. Can't seem to find a changelog for Deepstack.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

Another 74k files in the last few days here.. Today I just created a scheduled task that purges the folder every 15 minutes. Not ideal but it'll help until BI fixes the issue.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

Yeah, as mentioned in a previous post this was already reported to BI and they acknowledged they knew it was an issue, "We are aware of the issue but no info on the root cause or fix. Need to investigate with DeepStack." I'll ping them again on it.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

Still an issue here on the latest version of BI (5.5.4.0 x64). I now have 74,458 files in there now from the last 7 days alone.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

The issue seems to come and go on my system. I do keep BI up to date. As of right now my temp folder is empty.. will check again in a couple of days and report back.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

Look at tools like WinDirStat or Space Monger, they should be able to tell you where the growth is coming from.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

Looks like this bug is back on recent builds.. had 12,000+ files sitting in there from the last 9 days.. I'm just going to setup a scheduled task to delete them at this point.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

Update: Still appears to be fixed in my particular case with 5.4.9.8 (for now, at least), but I did receive a reply from Blue Iris support: "We are aware of the issue but no info on the root cause or fix. Need to investigate with DeepStack." They also mentioned a workaround: "Unfortunately...

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

This appears to be fixed in 5.4.9.8. I purged the temp folder, updated to 5.4.9.8, restarted, and its been ~20 hours now and Deepstack's temp folder is empty and being cleaned up/maintained as expected. I never received a response after submitting a ticket to Blue Iris on Sunday, but it does...

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

Could be.. but I did un-install DeepStack (then cleaned up its leftover files), rebooted, then re-installed it. I have not yet re-installed BI5. Will see what BI support has to say about it.

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

Perhaps... I am running the CPU version. Seems like its not cleaning up after itself properly as my files continue to grow in qty. If it were a permission issue, I'd assume it wouldn't be able to delete anything from that folder (and it does clean up the majority of the files it creates there)...

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

I have 336 files as of this morning (just 24 hrs after my last post/update from yesterday). I just reported it to Blue Iris support and referenced this thread.

Yes, I always keep it up to date. As of today I'm on 5.4.9.6 (dated 7/8/21).

DeepStack Temp files growing / not being deleted in the DeepStack Temp folder

I've been running the latest BI5 and the integrated AI for a while now (I always keep BI updated).. yesterday I noticed my server had run out of disk space, after a bit of investigation I found that DeepStack's temp folder had grown to 132,000+ files, consuming 160GB of space. The folder is...

Same situation here. Repairing via the installer fixed the UI3/web issue. Other than that, this tutorial was perfect, thanks!

    Chromecast working...!

Thanks - I got it working so that no warnings are presented from my browser, but what format are you streaming from Blue Iris to Chromecast? I've tried .TS, .h264, and .m3u8 but just get the blue cast logo with no video stream.

Do you know how many watts as well? Thanks!

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Some of these kits include a resistor (my RCA did not, but I believe the Hikvision and Nelly's versions do) - does anybody know what value this resistor is?

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Do you know if its possible to accomplish this *without* the use of a physical doorbell chime? I currently just have the RCA connected to a 16v 30va transformer.. would love to get z-wave door sensor to trigger to my homeseer system. Thanks!
