I spend some more time investigating the FTP option today. Got it to work with a motion detect channel now which records both to HDD and FTP. The NVR FTP option does not immediately cause new clips to be uploaded. Instead they are transferred in the background it seems roughly with a 2 minute delay.

Thanks for the update... I'm still interested to learn about your experience. In the other thread it is mentioned that only after switching to MPEG the microphone audio was ok. I hope this is a one off as having to use MPEG2 just to resolve this would be a bummer.

This youtube video shows the main entries of the camera firmware configuration software Under 'events' it seems likely that this camera also supports IVS, car and face detect. Can someone confirm whether this is indeed supported ?
