I would ditch the WiFi cam and test. Blue Iris seems to handle wireless cameras terrible for some reason. I have 4 x Ruckus R320's with EXCELLENT performance and reliability, and I had all sorts of issues caused by a WiFi cam, removed it from BI and all my problems went away

I would set a DHCP Static map for it to get the desired IP, then just set it to DHCP to "fix" the problem, at least so you can get email setup and then mess with it later. $10 says if you get email setup, you can change the network config without breaking it

Are you using the dayandnight utility? Because my focus during the day is different to night. So if you get it tuned well for night, it will never be good during the day

1000% a focus problem, look how clear the 93 is on the sidewalk. You are focused way too far out

Its also worth noting that I think all of us went through this phase of smacking our head against the wall before we got LPR down. It seems no LPR setup is the same, and everything needs its own settings

I always use the autofocus button and then the + and -, never opened it up

Is the lens clean? Also avoid using Windex, glass cleaner will fog acrylic

I think the camera is fine, I think its the the focus. Maybe I'm crazy, but I connect my laptop to hotspot, VPN back home and then park in the middle of the road where the LPR cam is, and I autofocus on the plate (My focus zone is WAY too far for WiFi) Can you do that?

Same issue here, I updated to 5.6.X.X a week ago and every version had this problem, I went through a few I went back to 5.5.96 and its stable. I'm not going to update for a long while
