I run mine with Android so I can't comment on IPhone. Pushover and the OEM BI app works well after you get it figured out, takes a bit of patience to configure but no complaints.

All my research, questions, answers, and reading led me to Dahua OEM, EmpireTech/Andy and Blue Iris. I have zero complaints and gladly renewed my tech support which is due again and will be renewed again. Blue Iris at default, works great, for those who want a higher level of performance...

Thank goodness we have fact checks  Millions of people have viewed a BBC News interview with a British cardiologist who used the broadcast to spread misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines. Copies of the Jan. 13 interview can be found on Facebook (here, here and here), YouTube...

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) played a direct role in policing permissible speech on social media throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Confidential emails obtained by Reason show that Facebook moderators were in constant contact with the CDC, and routinely asked government...

Japan has been number one in covid infections for at least a month, about 200,000 official cases a day and the unofficial count is 3 or 4 times that per studies which I posted a couple pages back. Problem solved! Story

In my home state, State sequencing data has not identified any XBB.1.5 infections since a handful were found in mid-December, though that data is delayed several weeks and, as of the most recent batch, included only nine samples. But federal modeling indicates the subvariant accounted for only...

    Camera Recommendations

When I came here in 2020 I planned on Hikvision cameras and a NVR. I ended up with Dahua and Blue Iris after lots of reading, questions, and research. If I could start over, I would still chose Dahua and BI, that is high praise.

    Camera Recommendations

The 5442 series is really the best option, especially when you consider you are getting the best value to go along with great specifications. I have tried other options and the 5442 is still the best especially for the reasonable cost. For outdoor use, the fixed lens 5442 3.6MM on the PFB...

Welcome back! POE powered illuminators are available. One brand, AXTON is available from Bhphoto but they are pricey but high quality with great reviews and USA made. It would help to know your budget and a used PC that meets Blue Iris specs is a good way to go. I would think the pole...

I posted something similar a few weeks ago and couple pages back, heavily vaxed, heavily boosted and masked Japan has been Number One for at least a month, averaging around 200,000 cases a day. Another hardware question

I get 4 GB per four hours files with the setup I posted in the first response above. So roughly one GB per hour with three active cams and a few motion alerts on the other three. Edited to add, now that I think about it I get 4 GB files but that is per camera on my 4MP Dahua 5442.

It was not that long ago that the "vax crowd"; openly mocked and celebrated the death of those unvaxed, openly called for removing from society the unvaxed, called for banning the unvaxed form public places like grocery stores, suggested the unvaxed by rounded up and held in FEMA type camps...

    Another hardware question

I am going to toss out a couple points of reference that do not answer many of your questions but should be helpful. I run six cameras, three record 24/7 (2 Dahua 4mp 5442 & 1 2mp 2231) and three just on motion. I run a Ryzen 2700 with 16 GB of RAM. With my setup my CPU hovers in the 8 - 10%...

    Dahau camera availability

I have moved from my original thought of security/necessity to the hobby stage. I have a LPR camera I will eventually get mounted if I can find a place. I have picked up three cameras (not mounted) with no intended destination, just to test and see how I like them. The same with mounts, I think...
