    5.4.1 - April 3, 2021 - Support for DeepStack facial recognition

Unless I missed a post in this thread, I have yet to see anyone having success on the face part. I assume it still work in progress. Like you, I have had excellent results in the object detection part.

    Hell Yeah! Direct Deepstack Integration - 5.4.0 - March 31, 2021

I only use DS during my "daytime open hours profile" At night there are no false triggers.....so I go to Profile 3 (night) and just use normal motion detection. My area is well lit as well.

    Hell Yeah! Direct Deepstack Integration - 5.4.0 - March 31, 2021

Well, I am having great results using it to alert me if a person steps into zone "B" on my sidewalk to shop. I configured it to produce a doorbell sound to alert me someone is approaching shop door. Before DS, I had some zones setup for the person to cross which also worked fine...BUT as soon...

Zones are still great for defining a alert as well. For example, I can set a zone on my front porch by mailbox and make it alert me only if a person is in that zone...as in mailman. You've got mail LOL

Go to camera settings/alerts click "on alerts" and then add a new alert. You can now put in "person" for example and it will only fire alert when a person is detected. Works GREAT !

Anyone seen this error before? "FORCE quitting CGadSocket thread"

I'm thinking 5.3.9.15 is buggy, I was getting errors and my clip list capture is blank, yet the clip plays. Went back to 5.3.9.14 and all is good again.

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Mine usually has been pretty rock solid for over 3 years, but here lately with temps way below zero -14 this morning with -35 WC I had over 15 restarts. Yesterday when it was hovering around zero all day with -15 WC and sun shining I had ZERO restarts. Just too damn cold to do anything about...

How long to get Wunderground to approve Webcam?

So maybe try to change your image size to default ? I did just check my "passive transfer mode" box.....mine works checked or unchecked. I do not see any images on your WU page.

How long to get Wunderground to approve Webcam?

What does your device like in WU...be sure you are entering the cam name and key correctly: This will be your first check to make sure all is ok...if test fails...dbl check you entered exactly as example except with your cam's ID and key. Your cam will show online once it has received a image.

How long to get Wunderground to approve Webcam?

They have had recent changes to their FTP settings. My old FTP configuration I had in BI stopped working. After some online forum reading I found these work. The "/" I had in my old setting but it would not work, when if I left it blank it works LOL

I also used what they said to put in the server address . No check in the passive box as well.

How long to get Wunderground to approve Webcam?

I had to remove the "/" in the folder section. In the base folder input

How long to get Wunderground to approve Webcam?

I have had no issues using this method. You should get a picture up within 15 minutes on WU if all goes well. Make sure your image size is not too big ! I always FTP to a temp folder to check this. Once you get it working then you can quit ftp to a folder. My image is around 122KB and it works...

User viewing certain camera groups idea

I have asked Ken to consider this new feature idea. It would allow you to configure Users to have viewing rights to certain camera groups depending what profile you are in. I created a picture to help explain. In this example, when you click on the user’s “Limit to camera groups” you would...

Live view - Camera time overlay - time out by 5 - 10 seconds

I agree, I use to do it that way since D2D was developed, but for the average new user that is not as easy as just using the BI included metadata. I assume that is why Ken implemented this back in 5.2.8

Live view - Camera time overlay - time out by 5 - 10 seconds

True, but that will show the BI time stamp using direct to disk also, so no need to use camera’s timestamp. So using Blueiris’s BVR raw file that is created using direct to disk method would seem to be un-modified way to present file.

Live view - Camera time overlay - time out by 5 - 10 seconds

But so far no one has said how they would present the clip in court ??

5.2.8 - May 20, 2020 - Direct-to-disc BVR recording will now include metadata for video overlays

Yes, police don't give a crap, they just want to see the content. But i'm still wondering how you would actually prepare a file from BI to hold up in court. I still say if you played the clip using BI on the computer it was captured on you could answer "NO" it has not been modified. Just like...

5.2.8 - May 20, 2020 - Direct-to-disc BVR recording will now include metadata for video overlays

But how do you supply the clip then ? It would be in its un-modified form in the BVR file. I also read the best way is to supply the PC or NVR and do not copy any files from there original location from the recording device. Hopefully I don't ever need to find out :)

5.2.8 - May 20, 2020 - Direct-to-disc BVR recording will now include metadata for video overlays

I see your point and can tell this can be debated many ways. First off, let me say I have used Nettime for years and also had all my cams overlay enabled. I could never get "to the exact second" all my cams to be synced. (due to different brands or models of cameras) So now I still use...

5.2.8 - May 20, 2020 - Direct-to-disc BVR recording will now include metadata for video overlays

So are you saying that if you do not use direct to disk recording your videos are worthless in court ?

5.2.8 - May 20, 2020 - Direct-to-disc BVR recording will now include metadata for video overlays

BlueIris uses the computer's system clock to sync everything. To add it is very simple and you can select many styles. I have show a few captures to help explain. So as far as the camera's time, I have the camera's overlay disabled in each camera's GUI as I don't need it anymore.

5.2.8 - May 20, 2020 - Direct-to-disc BVR recording will now include metadata for video overlays

No, I myself no longer use the camera's time or Nettime to just keep it simple. The only drawback is that when I have to export a clip I have to re-encode the clip with the "Add text/graphic overlays from direct-to-disk BVR" selected. This does not really bother me as most of my clips are small...
