Digital I/O's and signalling other cameras

Hi All, Im setting up 4 x PTZ cameras for a warehouse. They will be high end Dahua units. As its critical to get motion based movement I want to determine if this is possible with the cameras set to 'Always record' no , motion (software) based recording. 1) Cameras connect to a 12V PIR on one...

Awesome, it will be in a server room so hot swap drives would be OK. Will look into SM units

Another, what hardware. Rack mount/Quick Sync/25 cameras on BI

Fair enough, sounds like the fastest i9 or i10 desktop CPU I can get, with 3600+ ram (32GB I assume) Might have to build something custom in a rack enclosure.

Another, what hardware. Rack mount/Quick Sync/25 cameras on BI

thanks bp2008, I'd imagine they would want about 20FPS just to be fluid. Definitily dont want to limit decoding but the sub stream im not sure about. Typically they will access the cameras with a web browser and the mobile device app. Where is the substream generally used? Given they want high...

Another, what hardware. Rack mount/Quick Sync/25 cameras on BI

Needs to be rack mounted, ideally something from HP/Dell/Supermicro. Requirement will be recording from 20 to 25 x Dahua IPC-T5442T-ZE at full resolution and it will be likely set to always record - going into a manufacturing facility. Price is no real barrier, performance is. So I guess an...

Using Cameras to trigger lights in BI - false positives

Hi All, Im having a reoccuring issue in that the lights will come on due to motion detected by the camera (great) but when the lights go off, the contrast change, I assume, is triggering the lights to go on again. Ive played with object size and contrast but making them less sensitive stops...

Running BI in Virtualbox, will Intel hardware acceleration work?

hi ctsik, i cant recall now, but i got rid of it. It was just a pain in the arse to do, and not worth the effort. It all came down to drivers from memory.

Dahua PTZ camera for no light

Those images look good! I think you're right, two would be advisable for this location. One for the overall area, one for the plate! Thanks for the info Pinko, very helpful! Ive no idea on cost, I can find any info. It may be more :)

Dahua PTZ camera for no light

Yeah re: LPR, im not fussed. I dont need to automatically recognise a plate, just capture it correctly in darkness for review later.

Dahua PTZ camera for no light

There may be a need to swing it around up the driveway ie tracking. But I could entertain non PTZ also Most important is image quality., cost secondary

Taking LPR database from dahua camera and exposing it elsewhere?

Ideally, id like to display the last 3 number plates on a web page as a JPG. And yes, receive alerts if the plate number is not white listed for example.

Taking LPR database from dahua camera and exposing it elsewhere?

Hi All Does anyone know if this data can be exported to a file on another system or something so that it can be formatted/displayed in something like a home automation system? when using the Dahua LPR camera? I do not use a Dahua DVR. I use blueiris. Would it be best to look at something...

    Dahua DHI-ITC237-PU1B-IR

Im using Australian number plates, and 20km/hr would be fine I would imagine as its a gate and theres a sharp bend, so that would work just fine. How does the LPR algorithm work? We just want to expose number plates correctly.

    Dahua DHI-ITC237-PU1B-IR

hi Guys, im looking at this camera for a rural property. Night time, no light but we want to capture license plates as they enter the property. Dahua DHI-ITC237-PU1B-IR This one looked suitable. We are using blue iris though so my question is really, how would this work with LPR and by that...
