Is this AITOOLS built-in to BI or a completely new implementation?

@jz3082 @ManFromKC Gentlemen- Thank you for posting the latest versions. I haven't yet unlocked the secret to navigating VorlonCD's github to keep up-to-date.

I'm curious what version most people use to upgrade. I searched this thread over the last week and found, in addition to the official VorlonCD release, versions 526, 569, and 626. I went with the latest I could see...

Mostly, yes. The video was incredibly helpful but I used the slightly modified instructions from danecreekphotography/node-deepstackai-trigger He gives full credit to The Hook Up but adds a few tweaks that updated the video.

@spammenotinoz , @Village Guy This is a great discussion and I thank you each for your POV. I'd like to learn a lot more about these approaches but my grasp of the terminology is insufficient to completely follow the arguments. My configuration is for each physical camera to be configured as...

Thanks @austwhite and @Ripper99 . This was a huge source of confusion to me when I was trying to figure this out, just a couple of weeks ago. It would have save me a ton of time if I had found a simple paragraph like you just gave me.

I endorse the Dane Creek notes. As a total newbie, I found his hints to be very helpful. His process is 95% from The Hookup video, but he incorporates some newer techniques since the video was produced. @Ripper99 Would you please clarify "clone" terminology? Following The Hookup video, I set...

Make use of QuickSync and not graphics card

In my case, on an I5-6560 which to the best of my knowledge has QuickSync enabled in the bios, I show a small GPU LOAD and a blank column under HA. Would this mean the GPU is enabled but not visible to BI? I'd appreciate any tips on how to enable the onboard GPU.

Can't reach UI3 over local network

I wasn't sure whether this was a question for the NETWORKING forum or BLUE IRIS. I think I've set up WEB SERVER correctly for no user authorization over the local LAN and correct pointers to the UI3 WWW directory. From the local BI computer, I can reach the UI3 interface, but from any other...

Blue Iris + Plex: Bad Idea?

Thank you @silencery My only GPU is the Intel Quicksync. Does that count, or do you mean a separate unit? I really admit that I'm confused by substreams - not the concept but how to properly use them in BI. Each of my physical cameras are configured as two logical cameras, with one using the...

Blue Iris + Plex: Bad Idea?

Hi. New Blue Iris user here. In setting up BI on a dedicated I5-6500 (w/ quicksync), and 16GB, I saw "The Hook Up's" video and he mentions that he also runs Plex Media Server on the same Windows computer. Is this advisable? The system runs only BI, AItool, Deepstack-for-Windows plus the...

Perhaps, but as someone who has not yet summoned the courage to try Deepstack on Docker for Windows, I appreciate your stepping up and flushing out the issues that I surely will face when I get there.

Progress. Maybe even success. I went back to the VorlonCd release version 2.0.37.7608 from Oct 30 and that is now running. I'm not concluding that there is anything wrong with the more recent version, but perhaps something in the way I installed it. Thank you, @Village Guy.

No joy. I even rebooted to see if that helps. Here's the log if there is any hint there. I do appreciate the asisstance. 2020-12-07 12:45:52.584691|Info|AITOOLS.EXE|InitializeBackend|None|None|None| |13|1||5 2020-12-07 12:45:52.584691|Info|AITOOLS.EXE|InitializeBackend|None|None|None|...

Thanks, @Village Guy . You've been very helpful. This is where I am still having some confusion. Specifically, I want to record the substream (SD) continuously and use it for alerts. I then only want to record the mainstream (4K) based on the substream alerts. Does your reference to...

    Going to BI4 and VPN

This caught my attention. Maybe you can explain something that is bewildering me? I have a PiVPN running Wireguard at home. My home network uses a Sprint cell phone hotspot that feeds my local wired network (with the Pi and everything else). The cell phone has a routable APN. Dynamic DNS...

Hello, Newb with my first post. I've pored over the questions posed by @seth-feinberg and graciously answered by @Village Guy . At the risk of claiming the prize for most dense newbie, I still don't understand cloned cameras and their relationship to dual stream. Here's my question: My goal...
