5.3.9.10 - February 23, 2021
Updated Apple push notification service which will expire February 28, 2021; use this
version or newer for uninterrupted push notifications from the iOS app. The new expiration
is March 25, 2022.
Great news, I spoke to Ken earlier today and he said that he had received approval from Apple for "Critical Events" for the iOS app. He said all that's left, is for him to get it implemented. This will be a great feature addition for sure!
UPDATE:
Sending emails from BI to the Pushover email alias works. The notification comes through with my iPhone set to Do Not Disturb. It also comes to my Apple Watch which is great. The obvious weak link is if my email provider is down and BI can't send the email. I really wished the API would...
Appreciate it. I’ll check on that later tonight. I agree, sending direct from AI Tool is what I prefer. Just need to get these alerts to come through to my iPhone or Apple Watch while I sleep.
Did some testing today. Set my iPhone to DND and I didn't get any Pushover notifications on my iPhone or Apple Watch. I have Pushover set to create "Critical Alerts" but it's not overriding DND. This would be so much easier if the BI app would push "Critical Alerts".
I tried adding the email address that is sending me the text message for the Alert to my favorites last night. Once do not disturb was enabled, I would not receive a notification.
I'd like to hear from some of you who may have found a way to receive alerts from Blue Iris overnight while sleeping.
Now that I have AI working with Deepstack, I would like to send notifications to my iPhone and Apple Watch while sleeping if a person is detected outside my home. The reason...
Thanks, I'll try backing it down to 4096 bitrate. The last time I tried H.265, it caused BI to lock-up and crash. My PC is running a fairly old Intel i5 processor, probably not capable of H.265.
Recently, I've noticed this smearing or pixelization. Not sure how to fix it and I'm looking for advice. Resources on my BI machine are fine and I've included the camera settings below. Thanks!
I have a question about Camera Settings. Will Deepstack identify the items listed in the "Additional Relevant Objects" setting? I've added several additional things that I'd like to have Deepstack trigger on but I'm not sure Deepstack can actually recognize any of these.
I'm still chatting with Ken. This is a big problem for me given I travel and will most certainly be checking BI remotely while away. I could do it maybe a dozen times before it would lock up my BI PC.
Good catch! I can confirm that I have the same situation with my set up. It doesn't matter how I view the cameras... UI3, BI client or iOS app, the memory bumps up each time a camera is viewed and never gets released. I also made Ken aware.
Upon further review... apparently it's not HA. Man, this is so frustrating. If had to leave town for a few days I wouldn't be able to get BI back online once it uses all the RAM and locks up the PC.
